The Department of comprehensive Studies is a major unit at ULSIT which provides instruction in disciplines that are no part of any specialty. Through these disciplines, students have the opportunity to gain a wide range of knowledge in different spheres of science and culture necessary for each Bulgarian intellectual and a university graduate.
The tutors of the Department of Comprehensive Studies teach Bulgarian, Russian, European, American and Children’s Literature, Philosophy, Political Science, Organizational and Business Psychology, English, Russian and a second western language, Civil Law, sports, etc. The Center for Foreign Languages aims at organizing and conducting a better foreign language acquisition at ULSIT.
Students benefit immensely from the fact that they can choose in accordance with their preferences and interests from the optional disciplines in the curriculum.
