The Continuing Education Center is mainly concerned with organizing and providing post-graduate qualification of the students who have graduated from ULSIT (then known as The State Library Institute, The Institute for Library Studies, The College of Library Studies) and others who have finished their secondary or higher education elsewhere: analyzing the needs, project development and career development in post-graduate qualification; establishing contacts with the respective departments, institutions and individuals; ensuring post-graduate qualification; ensuring the necessary equipment and its maintenance when carrying out the post-graduate qualification; language or other supplementary qualification; post-graduate qualification development at ULSIT.

The Distance-Learning Center aims at providing technical and technological assistance to tutors and students in the educational process with the help of modern information and communication technologies.

MA graduates receive a diploma in compliance with the state requirements for the organization of the distance-learning form of education at tertiary education institutions, approved by the Ministry of Education.
The distance learning courses have several advantages: students’ mobility, opportunity for a personal pace of studying, convenient time for studying without the need to be separated from work, significantly cheaper tuition fees, continuing education in compliance with the requirements for disadvantaged students, etc.

Information security and protection center

The center offers specialization and qualification courses on Information Security and Protection. Instruction aims at upgrading and enlarging the qualification of carrying out managerial functions, creating team work skills when making managerial and executive decisions in the field of issue.

The learning content is based on how current, significant and practically valuable the professional development of the students is.

The center helps the professional orientation and career development of the students through providing information, consulting and methodological activity; coordinates the relations with potential employers; organizes training activities and internships; offers training and strategies for searching for internship programs and working positions.

„Cyber security Research laboratory (abbr. НИЛКС/CSRL/) is self-structural unit within the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies. Laboratory activities are associated with research in the field of cyber security, organization and participation in national and international events, as well as carrying out forensics examination for national authority. The laboratory organizes specialized courses and practical trainings in various aspects of the cyber security.„
